Have you heard about IoT Forge or SynchroniCity Open Call for SMEs? Don’t worry, we will tell you.

We have collected together some very interesting offerings for SMEs and you will hear about them in our morning coffee meetup. In June an open call for SMEs will be launched to demonstrate the scalability and replicability of IoT based smart city solution in three European cities. There is possibility to get funding for 6 months piloting up to 300k€. The main focus areas are transportation and traffic, environment and citizen engagement. The solution should be pre-tested and near the market or already on the market.

HSY is now building a LoRa network for testing purposes for the owner cities, start-ups, researchers and other non-commercial users. Helsinki Region Environmental Services Authority HSY is a municipal body, which produces waste management and water services, as well as providing information on the Helsinki Metropolitan Area and environment.

The IoT Forge Foundation offers Finnish companies a well-equipped development laboratory run by experts in productizing IoT equipment.
This type of support is needed in Finland, as local companies often face challenges in transferring great IoT ideas to prototypes and showing their business potential.
