We are looking for enthusiastic public transport and city bike users to test and provide feedback on our new app.

We want to find test users for a new travel app in a pilot that encourages passengers to choose more sustainable modes of transport, such as bikes and public transport, instead of cars. The pilot is available until the end of October.

The pilot is focused on the area around West Harbour in Jätkäsaari, where traffic congestion has an adverse effect on travel times and convenience. The primary target group are ship passengers, but anyone using the Jätkäsaari area may participate. Your participation is valuable regardless of how often you travel.

Why should I participate?

  • Help make Helsinki greener: By participating, you will help reduce carbon dioxide emissions and make our city a cleaner and healthier place to live.
  • Earn rewards: Collect CO2 savings points each time you choose a sustainable mode of transport. Every month, the three highest scorers will be rewarded with gift cards to Finnkino cinemas.
  • Contribute to innovation: Support sustainable urban mobility solutions.

How can I participate?

  1. Download the application: The mobile app has been developed by PayiQ and can be downloaded from the following stores:
  1. Get started with sustainable travel: Open the app and select a sustainable mode of transport suitable for your journey.
  • Activate the GreenImpact section and join the Jätkäsaari team in the Joukkueet (teams) section.
  • The app helps you find more mobility options, such as city bikes. You can also purchase tickets for local public transport directly through the app. All data collected will be stored anonymously and no specific user data will be collected or shared.
  1. Earn points: Keep track of your journeys and earn CO2 savings points.

The ACUMEN project utilising artificial intelligence promotes more efficient door-to-door trips, increases comfort in the city and supports the safety and flexibility of traffic as part of the green transition. The pilot is coordinated by Forum Virium Helsinki in collaboration with project partners. The ACUMEN consortium is led by Aalto University. The project consortium consists of 17 partners from eight European countries. The implementation of the Helsinki project aims to dynamically affect passengers’ selection of route and transport mode in order to promote sustainable development and well-being.
