Technical project manager for Carbon Neutral Tourism project

The objective of the 6Aika Carbon Neutral Tourism project is to reduce carbon dioxide emissions and increase energy efficiency in the tourism sector in Finland by developing data-based smart solutions and operating models for use by actors in the industry. At the same time, the project will increase their understanding of the industry’s carbon footprint and concrete measures to reduce it. The project will develop applicable indicators, develop and integrate relevant data sources, pool this data into a joint databank, and transform this data into usable and readily accessible information through smart solutions. This information will facilitate the changes required to reduce the tourism sector’s emissions.

The solutions needed for this will be jointly developed with other actors. The project will build the digital tools required for the solutions, and a Co2-TIS (Carbon Neutral Tourism Intelligence System) operating model will be developed and effectively shared during the project.

As a Technical project manager you will be  responsible for the implementation of the project in accordance with the predefined project implementation plan and project finances.  Technical Project Managers is also coordinating the development efforts between Helsinki, Tampere and Turku pilots.

We would be delighted to see you having:

  • Experience on managing software development in small teams. 
  • Product management experience is a plus. 
  • Understanding of interfaces, data management, IoT and developing analytics.
