Forum Virium Helsinki and Stara co-organise together with Metropolia University of Applied Sciences a Digital Twins -hackathon 25.–27.11.2022, and you are invited!
Our Digital Twins Hackathon offered a selection of 4 challenges within the topics of smart living, circular economy, city maintenance, and city logistics.
LiiDi2 – Digital Twins enabling mobility innovations project, under which umbrella Forum Virium Helsinki and Stara joined the hackathon, creates together with units of the Helsinki Group and companies a model for the digital twin for mobility, develops and pilots as part of the definition work new data collection methods and develops innovative data acquisition models.
Forum Virium Helsinki and Stara offered two challenges in the hackathon:
- Overcome winter conditions to improve equal urban mobility
- Reboot logistics: Optimising for sustainable supply chains
The other two challenges were SmartLab and Wherecycle. They were organised by Metropolia University of Applied Sciences.
The Digital Twins Hackathon was one of LiiDi2 project´s concrete deliverables: we wanted to showcase City of Helsinki´s potential data sources, model the take-in-use of those sources and most importantly, get innovative solutions to our challenges. This way, we also got verification on the usability of the data the City of Helsinki produce as part of its everyday operations.
The hackathon event was produced by Ultrahack and it took place at the Metropolia campus in Myllypuro.
