In partnership with the EU Commission, DIGILE and Estonia the city of Helsinki will be the first hosting city of Crowd Dialog Europe 2015, gathering the European crowd knowledge united in diversity and driven by a common goal: to enable the crowd for a greater good. The stakeholders will discuss diverse scenarios of crowd-disruption and gather from the fields of practitioners, academia and politics. Forum Virium Helsinki is one of the corporate partners of the event.
 
The Crowd Dialog Europe 2015 will be held under the motto “United Knowledge”. More than 300 representatives from business, academia and politics are expected to participate and join to discuss the most current findings and changes in the industry.
 
Visitors will gain insight into the phenomenon of swarm-based innovation processes, financing scenarios and working models for potential new business fields as well as trends for their own use and participation.
 
Leading representatives and experts from more than 23 European countries will critically discuss new employment models and future forms of cooperation. In global competition with its demand for more flexible and open structures, companies are increasingly challenged to keep pace with the constantly changing requirements of working-time-models that attract young professionals. The Mayor of Helsinki, Jussi Pajunen will open the event by talking about CrowdSouring Cities – boosting ideas in authorities – a real smart city approach. Other speakers include 

Andreas Pages (Head Crowdfunding Swisscom), René Seifert (Founder and board member Venturate AG), Giorgos Karamanolis (Co-founder & CTO of crowdpolicy.com) and Günther Oettinger (Member designate of the EC in charge of Digital Economy and Society), among others.

The event will include a workshop themed New eDemocracy Era and Tools for Cities, hosted by the city of Helsinki. How cities could and should open up their processes and take advantage of new tools enabling crowdsourcing and collective actions of citizens towards the issues that are being processed in the city’s decision making bodies?
