The 4th ENoLL Summer School will be held in Manchester (UK) on August 27th -30th, 2013 with the support of ENoLL full member MDDA (Manchester Digital Development Agency) and Manchester Metropolitan University. This years theme will be Smart and Creative Cities.
As previous years, the Living Lab Summer School will attract an audience of over 150 Living Lab practioners, academics, and enthusiast all over the world.
Outline of the event:
August 27th, 2013 (Day 1)
Research Day: encouraging researchers (students and others within Living Labs) to present a series of short papers (TED style – 20 mins). This day will be hosted by Manchester Metropolitan University (MMU) which is less than 1km from the city centre, 5 mins on a bus or 10-15 mins walking.
August 28th, 2013 (DAY 2)
Living Labs Day: what is the current state of the art and how do we intend to move beyond it? Also hosted at MMU.
August 29th (DAY 3)
Social Innovation in Action: out into the (urban) ‘fields’, local projects and organisations in Manchester will host study visits with the focus on innovation. Followed by Dinner in the Manchester Town Hall.
August 30th, 2013 (DAY 4)
Where now – how do we sustain and grow Living Labs even further? Followed by the publication of results of the 7th Wave of the European Network of Living Labs (ENoLL).
Conference day in the Manchester Town Hall.
Manchester Tourist Office will be offering a a range of accommodation in the city centre and MMU will also have student accommodation available.
