Forum Virium Helsinki is the City of Helsinki innovation company. We want to make Helsinki the most functional smart city in the world with companies, universities and citizens. Our company is growing and we are looking for a technical specialist to join our IoT-team.
As a technical specialist, you will be working in a vibrant environment, within a multidisciplinary team, providing your expertise in API and API related activities. You will be working mainly in a project New solutions in city logistics funded by European regional development fund. Your role is to support in implementing autonomous last mile delivery pilots and work together with other API specialists in different projects within the company.
We appreciate:
- Knowledge of REST and other APIs
- Knowledge of Python, Django and optionally Django Apps or Flask
- Knowledge of spatial (GIS) data and routing algorithms
- Knowledge on SQL and databases, especially Postgre
- Good understanding on Linux servers and their typical administrative tasks
- Strong problem solving and decision-making skills while using good judgement
- Willingness to learn
- Fluent written and spoken command of English or Finnish.
