Welcome to the information and discussion event, where we will talk about the Open Market Consultation of the SPACE4Cities project and the upcoming Call for Tenders! The event is open to everyone and free of charge and is held in English.

SPACE4Cities will organise a tender worth 2.87 million euros at the beginning of 2025. Before that, SPACE4Cities organises an Open Market Consultation (OMC), where we present the themes of Pre-Commercial Procurement (PCP) and share information about the upcoming Call for Tenders.

During the SPACE4Cities, the participating organisations have the opportunity to develop innovative, pilot solutions not available on the market for the challenges presented by the project’s partner cities. Challenge topics are responsible mobility, adaptation and resilience to climate change, and digital urban planning and management. The best solutions get to field a physical pilot during 2026, and get the opportunity to scale their service to other European cities.

Pre-Commercial Procurement is open to all interested organisations, depending on the type of organisation: companies regardless of size, start-ups, research institutes and non-profit organisations and associations can participate in pre-commercial procurement. However, participating organisations must be located in EU member states or other Horizon Europe partner countries.

The solutions developed in the Pre-Commercial Procurement must have commercial potential and scaling possibilities. The SPACE4Cities project offers resources for participation, cooperation opportunities between interested organisations to combine their expertise, as well as data collected from the project’s partner cities.

Agenda

The program part of the event lasts about two hours, during which we will present the SPACE4Cities project, the pre-commercial procurement and the upcoming tender. Companies and research institutes interested in the tender can also give short presentations, instructions below. After the program, there will be networking and refreshments.
