We are organizing a piloting day in Malmi, during which city residents can get acquainted with the pilot activities taking place in Malmi, participate in the development of Malmi, and conduct small-scale pilots themselves.
Time: Friday, September 13th, 1 PM – 7 PM
Place: Ala-Malmin puisto
Helsinki is constantly conducting experiments to find new, effective solutions for different parts of the city and for different purposes. In Malmi, experimental work has recently been linked to urban renewal work, i.e., the basic improvements to be made in the area in the near future. The trials have preceded the improvements and, to some extent, clarified what could be done in addition to the repair work.
During the piloting day, participants will be able to dive deeper into the past and ongoing smart city projects of the city’s innovation company, Forum Virium Helsinki, which support not only urban renewal but also the movement and well-being of city residents, the development of infrastructure, the creation of an inventive and diverse urban space, and the restoration of local nature.
The trial day includes both a program of events and activities for all ages. You can just drop by, and no separate registration is required!
More detailed information about the program and activities will be updated on the Helsinki Design Week website!
