Place: The walk will begin from Ylä-Malmi market square
Welcome to a guided walk in the heart of Malmi! During the walk, we will observe the surrounding environment, discuss places that are important to the participants, and map out the feelings that the surrounding environment evokes during the walk.
The information gathered from the walk will be used in the European Union-funded GreenInCities project to develop the Longinoja park area. The project’s goals are increasing resident participation, nature restoration, and the consideration of also non-human needs when renewing the city.
The walk is approximately three kilometers long. It starts from Ylä-Malmi market square, goes around Longinoja park, and ends at Ala-Malmi market square. The walk is weather dependent! In case of bad weather, we will gather for a virtual walk indoors.
The event is officially held in Finnish but we can make translations if necessary.
