Welcome to explore and discuss Helsinki street environment modelling and machine vision solutions as part of the experiments of the Mobility Lab Helsinki project!

Time: Monday, June 19, 2023, from 10am to 11.30am
Location: Urban3 Space, Maria 01 Campus, Building 3 (2nd floor), Lapinlahdenkatu 16, Helsinki
Register with the form below. The event will be held in English. Light refreshments and coffee available.
The aim of the spring 2023 experiments was to test the new standard (CityGML3 Transport module) in information modelling of the Helsinki street environment in selected test areas. CityGML3 enables versatile representation of the street environment at different levels of detail as data models.
Two companies, Sitowise Oy and Zero Gravity Oy, were selected to participate in the experiments. In both pilots, source data will be produced from selected street areas in Jätkäsaari and on Esplanadi.
Street information modelling is an essential part of the development of Helsinki’s city information model. The experiment was carried out by the joint efforts of Forum Virium Helsinki and Business Helsinki through the Mobility Lab Helsinki project, in collaboration with the Helsinki City Executive Office.
Our goal is to share knowledge with companies, researchers, and developers, and to enhance understanding of the possibilities offered by the new version of the CityGML3 standard.
