The challenge invited companies to make use of the project’s Mobility Data Catalog and other Helsinki-centric data sets for developing new products and integrations. The themes of the competition were functionality, safety, and sustainability.

Two companies were selected for the pilot phase, aiming to improve the accessibility of traffic information and provide users with the ability to create smart city services using natural language without coding skills.

Selected pilots for implementation

The selected pilots have a total cost of €20,000.

1. Cadweiser Traffic Info Cadweiser Oy, €10,000 (excluding VAT)

The pilot uses generative AI to simplify traffic bulletins, converting text into speech and transmitting it via radio and communication channels. The goal is to learn how AI can improve the accessibility of bulletins in different languages and with customised settings.

2. LLM CAMNinjaLabo, €10,000 (excluding VAT)

The pilot aims to develop a No Code Vision LLM camera platform that allows users to create smart city services using natural language without coding skills. Key phases include integrating YouTube Live and ChatGPT for initial functions, such as enabling users to inquire about free parking spaces or traffic conditions. The solution supports a community-driven platform that promotes collaborative, no-code smart city solutions.

Forum Virium Helsinki congratulates the winning companies! The pilots will run until early December.
