The EU-funded Get Home Safely project’s smart lights can be tested in the built portion of Hyväntoivonpuisto park in Jätkäsaari from 4 to 24 November. The location was determined based on responses to a survey and workshop aimed at residents of Jätkäsaari conducted in the spring.

Produced and designed by CyPhyLab, a laboratory operating under Technical University Berlin’s Institute of Architecture, the smart lights help people find their way in urban areas that are still under construction by reacting to their movements. In addition to this, they are also designed to improve the pleasantness of areas. The colour of the lights can also be adjusted using a mobile application that you can download free of charge from the App Store or Play Store before the start of the pilot.

Become a test user and help develop the solutions of the future! Participation involves testing the lights by walking through the park at least once and answering the pilot project’s survey. Downloading the application is recommended, but not mandatory. More information on the Get Home Safely project.

All respondents will be entered into a prize draw for two 100-euro Uusi Sauna gift cards and 5 Finnkino cinema tickets.
