During the field testing phase of the FABULOS project, fleets of automated buses are tested in five of the partnering countries. In Helsinki, a fleet of three self-driving vehicles began operating on 14 April 2020. The fleet was supported by an on-demand mobile app and a Remote Control Centre. The vehicles ran along a circular route in Eastern Pasila, on a separate lane with speeds of up to 40 km/h. The route included crossroads with traffic lights, right turns, street side parking and a roundabout. More information on the FABULOS project.
