Future Internet Conference Week

The Future Internet Conference Week organized 13-17 December in Ghent, Belgium, offers a unique program of consecutive conferences, meetings and workshops related to the future internet. 2500 participants from all over Europe are expected to attend the week’s activities.

The keynote speakers include such professionals as Peter Hirshberg (Silicon Valley executive, entrepreneur and marketing specialist), Neelie Kroes (European Commissioner for Digital Agenda) and Ben Verwaayen (CEO Alcatel-Lucent).

As a part of the event, European Network of Living Labs (EnoLL) organizes the Living Labs and Smart Cities Conference. It aims to reflect on Smart Cities as centres for user-driven open innovation, using Future Internet technology in a user-friendly way to enable a truly knowledge-based society. There will also be an announcement of the 5th Wave of Living Labs.
