Cities of Tomorrow: Investing in Europe

The European Commission hosts the Cities of Tomorrow conference and a series of side events to debate how Member States and EU institutions should work together to ensure that cities play their full role in European development –and that the needs of the cities are fully reflected in EU’s policy thinking. The conference will take place at Brussels, on the 17th and 18th of February, 2014.

Via the conference, key urban stakeholders across Europe will be consuled on the need for an EU Urban Agenda, what it should contain and how it should be implemented. The event will also cover Europe’s role in global urban development as well as the role of business in the development of our cities.

Forum Virium Helsinki will be present at the Smart City & Connected Cities and Communities part of the event. Additional information will be provided in January, 2014.
